Wallpapers for your desktop, iPad and iPhone
Seven wallpapers for desktop, iPad and iPhone, in light, dark and colour, with or without a line of text. Free, and drawn in the same hand as the sea on this site.

We liked the sea at the top of this site enough to make it bigger. There are now wallpapers: seven pictures, for a desktop, an iPad and an iPhone, in light, dark and one colour, each with or without a line of text. They're free, and there's nothing to sign up for.
The same hand
The wallpapers are drawn in the same hand as the sea on this site and the pictures inside the app. No line is quite straight. Every stroke wavers a little, is thinner where the pen lands and lifts, and runs a touch past the corner it was aimed at. Outlines are left open. That's most of why it looks like a sketchbook and not like a diagram.
Each picture gets one accent colour, for one thing: the ring of ripple round Ballast, the mast, the beam of the lighthouse. We broke that rule twice here, on purpose. You'll see where.
Nothing is cropped from a bigger picture. A lock screen puts the clock in the top third and two buttons at the bottom. So the top third of the phone wallpaper is empty, the line of text is small under the clock, and Ballast stays in the lower middle where nothing covers him.
The lines
We didn't want quotes from famous people, half of whom never said them. The lines are ours. Probably fine is the name of the sloop in the drawings, and more or less the house motto. Asleep until you type is how the app behaves: it does nothing at all until you touch it. Nothing urgent out here goes with the quietest picture, a horizon and a boat. If you'd rather have no words on your screen, every wallpaper comes without them too.
Three postcards
There are also three postcards of places Ballast has turned up. The lighthouse of Texel, red on its dune, with a seal on the beach below who has ordered something. An office in a seal's head, with a green carpet and a very small colleague at an old computer. And a ring in the trees, a large round office with an orchard and a rainbow inside it, where Ballast found the pond.
All of them are on the wallpapers page. Use them, pass them on, and tell us if your screen is a shape we missed.
